For me, it all started with creative writing. I had never been extensively talented with a pencil and I found writing was my only real method of illustrating the flood of ideas I had incessantly craving to escape my imagination. Using paper as my canvas and words as my paint, I have been writing concepts and ideas for all sorts of entertainment mediums, from since I can remember.

However, as time went on, I became more and more frustrated with the fact that I wanted more from my ideas; I wanted to literally see them in front of me. It was this desire that pulled me towards Film direction and production. I began to learn tools such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and tried to bring my ideas to life. It was here that I started to realise my true passions. It didn’t take long for my love of computer games to merge with these dreams of being able to not only visualise my concepts and ideas, but also to interact with them.

As I saw a future for my passions emerge, I decided to study games development for 5 years, finally acquiring an MSc in Creative Games Technology at the University of Salford. I found myself actively taking up roles in every sector of game development, from game design to programming, developing modifications and total conversions of the Source Engine and Unreal Engines. I also researched heavily into game balance, emergent behaviour dynamics, virtual reality, and the technological convergence of entertainment media. I pushed towards breaking the boundaries of common game development and expanding towards using immersive environments creatively.

Thriving on new challenges, I am now an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, both skilled and passionate in the practical and theoretical aspects of game design and directive. I also have a keen understanding of cinematic screenplay and actively direct and produce films on current game titles, most notibly Eve Online.
